Short Synopsis

Fresh from Sell Out Seasons in Norway, Sydney and Waipu...

Mockingbird

A Black Comedy about Motherhood and Mental Health

Based on a true story, Lisa Brickell and Siri Embla weave a tale spanning four generations, multiple characters, and various dubious and devilish alter egos.  Their tongue in cheek rendering of deeply flawed situations is horrendously funny.  Sarah Macombee’s original music adds a wealth of mood and colour. A hopeful and entertaining show, Mockingbird will resonate in your thoughts long after you leave the theatre.

‘This is the most wonderful show, deeply moving, hysterically funny with a twist that takes you to the darkest of places and returns you to the light.’

-Alex Bonham, What’s Good

‘Mockingbird is a clever, sensitive exploration of mental health. Funny and moving, it sheds light on an issue that affects many people but remains taboo even in our modern society.’

-Sam Baran, Sambaranmedia, Sydney
