McNirt Hates Dirt is a thoughtful journey, full of wonder and worms, music and mud. An eccentric experience with an organic twist.
Our earth inspired tent, converts each venue visited into an intimate, theatrical experience in the round. Designed to actively involve the audience and engage all ages on multiple levels, McNirt’s Yurt has no iPads or smart phones – just hands-on digging in the dirt.
The obssessive-compulsive McNirt likes to control every aspect of his life and environment. The one bit that he cannot control is his best friend Gerty (who likes to be dirty). One day Gerty asks McNirt to look after her lily while she travels through Chile. After an incident with some sticky mud, McNirt has a bold idea.
Be a part of this tender and funny story and watch McNirt blossom.
"If you only see one children's show this Fringe then make it this one. Miranda Hampton's beautifully constructed story, is supurbly acted by Tim Overton and Ashton Malcolm. Every child under 100 will love it."
