Big hART is Australia’s leading arts campaigning organisation, telling Australia’s most invisible stories to critical acclaim. For over 25 years Big hART has worked with over 8000 individuals in 50 communities, garnering over 45 awards from Helpmanns to Myer and AFI Awards.
Big hART's Focus: The focus of Big hART is to make art, build community and drive change and over the years this has seen the company produce works which raise awareness of domestic violence, incarceration, addiction, homelessness, and intergenerational injustice faced by Indigenous Australians.
International Recognition: Big hART’s work has received much international and national recognition with works included in the Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Ten Days on the Island and Edinburgh festivals, and toured Dublin, London, Netherlands, Sweden, Iceland, South Africa, New Zealand and Germany.
Highlight Productions : Highlights over the years include Namatjira, Blue Angel, Ngapartji Ngapartji, Ghosts in the Scheme, Nyunti Ngali and Hipbone Sticking Out as well as award-winning outdoor multi-genre public events including Stickybricks and Junk Theory, alongside film, digital and TV projects.
