Tikapa Productions has been producing theatre for three years and was formed by Jamie McCaskill and Kali Kopae in order to have a platform for which to perform their own work. Sonia Hardie joined the company at the end of 2014 as co-producer.
Tikapa's first fully produced theatre piece Manawa, written by Jamie McCaskill & directed by Regan Taylor, premiered at Circa Theatre in Wellington in 2012 and was nominated for three awards & went on to have another season at The Basement, Auckland & Centrepoint in Palmerston North.
Most recently their latest show The Biggest opened at The Hannah playhouse. Through 2016 they have toured Not in our Neighbourhood in partnership with Taki Rua Productions and, The Moa show, was part of the International NZ Comedy Festival.
Not in our Neighbourhood was performed in the Wellington International Arts Festival and Auckland Arts Festival and has accolades for Best Actress and Best new New Zealand Play.
