Michael Sieders Presents partners with some of Australia’s most dynamic and exciting theatre makers to bring unique stories to life for all ages.
We support independent artists do what they do best, taking bold risks, telling intelligent, sophisticated and thought provoking work that delights avid theatre-goers, as well as enticing new audiences into the theatre.
Michael is a graduate from the University of Western Sydney’s Theatre Theory and Practice degree in 2002. Michael has worked on various theatre and film productions as a production manager, writer, producer and director and has also held the position of the Operations Manager for the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).
Michael’s most recent theatre producing credits include S-27 by Sarah Grochala (Griffin Independent 2010), Fool for Love by Sam Shepard (B Sharp 2010), The Brothers Size by Tarell Alvin McCraney (Griffin Independent 2011), The Coming World by Christopher Shinn (Darlinghurst Theatre Company 2011), Porn. Cake by Vanessa Bates (Griffin Independent 2012), Songs for the Fallen by Sheridan Harbridge (Rock Surfers Theatre Comapny 2012, The Reginald Season 2013 and Brisbane Festival 2013), Every Second by Vanessa Bates ( Darlinghurst Theatre Company 2014). In 2015 Michael produced the World Premiere Australian production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show as part of Sydney Festival 2015, this production will play Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Penrith, Queanbeyan and Newcastle throughout 2015.
Michael has also produced four tours for Critical Stages as NSW producer from 2011 - 2013, which include; The Chronic Ills of Robert Zimmerman AKA Bob Dylan (a lie) by Benito Di Fonzo, The Jinglists by Warwick Allsopp and Tamlyn Henderson, Boxing Day By Phil Spenser and Cut Snake by Amelia Evans, Dan Giovannoni and Paige Rattray. Michael has also produced two national tours of Lake by Lisa Wilson and Sons & Mothers by No Strings Attached theatre of Disability as producer for Performing Lines.
Michael is now the founder and Executive Producer of the newly formed theatrical production company Michael Sieders Presents.
